There is something about birthdays that really make you feel loved and appreciated. For me, I feel like with each year I just get luckier and luckier to have the people I do in my life. Well I celebrated my birthday a few days ago and I wanted to share some of the wonderful gifts I received. It is clearly evident that my family and close ones know me all too well…
My lovely parents bought me a new sewing machine. Since I moved 2.5 hours away from my hometown… using my mother’s sewing machines became a little difficult. I could have hugged the new machine all day. My mind was racing with all of the things I could now add to my list of things to make now that I had a sewing machine of my own.
I even went out today to Joann’s to pick up some fabric to get inspired to make a few things. I was joking at work today that everyone is going to see me in handmade clothes from now on…. but let’s be real… they probably will
Oh the possibilities…
The sewing machine was fantastic, huh? I also got an array of Joanns, Michaels and HomeGoods gift cards. My brother Greg (as a joke) even got me one of the wine-to-go things they recently had on the show Shark Tank. Did you see that episode? Its called Copa Di Vino… it is like a transportable glass of wine. Very clever.
I was a lucky girl… everyone knows me too well. However, the best gift I got was from Brett. On my birthday we went to the Melting Pot for dinner aka the place I eat so much its disgusting. It is my most favorite place to eat. When we sat down there were flowers on the table and chocolate covered strawberries which Brett knows I could eat morning, noon and night. It was very special. BUT my gift from him was absolutely perfect. Check it out…
In the spirit of creativity and craftiness… he made this himself. How great is he?? He knows how much I love going to the theater, especially in NYC. So now I’ll do some research and we can go to a great show. I couldn’t be more excited!
So overall, I had a fantastic birthday and I couldn’t feel more lucky to have the people I do in my life. Be on the lookout for some posts about the things I have been sewing lately
I hope everyone had a great time on America’s birthday yesterday as well!

I like the terms and conditions on the bottom of your gift! Very funny Brett!
